This piece was created as a student project before being shown in a few local venues. I drew it myself by hand with pen and ink using both felt-tip marker and fine-tip Rapidograph pen. The picture features images of Malcolm X with his mentor Elijah Muhammad in the background, set against a tessellation design made from both words and visual motifs that represent some of the forces that played a role in the lives of each man.
